100 Years of Harvard Lampoon Parodies: Selections from the Best Parodies by the Nation's Oldest College Humor Magazine
(Cambridge, MA): Lampoon Castle, (1976). A collection of the best magazine parodies from a century of Harvard Lampoon issues, parodying American magazines including Time, Playboy, The New Yorker, Mademoiselle, and more. The Harvard Lampoon was founded in 1876 and remains the longest-running humor publication in the United States. This book is not only a time capsule of the Lampoon's high quality of parody work, but a fun-house reflection of then-modern American popular culture over the years. Includes two centerfolds (a Playboy parody and a Henry Kissinger fake nude). Contains some nudity. ISBN: B0041SPUJ8.
First edition. First softcover printing. Overall in Very Good to Near Fine condition. Has minor cover rubbing and a few light back-cover thumb creases. Includes both centerfolds. First page is starting to separate from binding (the softcover edition was printed with very cheap glued binding, and used copies are often falling apart), otherwise a nice complete copy.
