    First Edition

Indianapolis, IN: Bobbs-Merrill Company, 1917. 258 pages. A domestic novel, illustrated with black-and-white plates by W. B. King. Does not appear to have much (or anything) to do with horses, in case you were wondering. Webster lived in Evanston (near Chicago), Illinois. ISBN: 281AIB1044915.

First or early printing (In 1917, the publisher often--but not always--marked first editions by putting the month of publication on the copyright page. This copy does not have a month indicated, nor did the other copy I have seen. Given the scarcity of the book, later printings seem unlikely.)
