  • Autograph Postcard Signed by Onslow Ford, Gordon (born in England, 1912; died in the United States, 2003)
Onslow Ford, Gordon (born in England, 1912; died in the United States, 2003)
    Autograph Postcard Signed

(n.d. but 1980s?). Roughly 9 by 6 inches. The card reproduces Onslow Ford's painting, Present in Company (1969). It is signed on the verso, "Season's Greetings, Gordon." The artist, one of the last surviving members of Andre Breton's surrealist group, has embellished the card with several abstract loops and swirls. His wife, Jacqueline Johnson, has also signed the card, "All good wishes for the New Year dear Daniel. A kiss, Jacqueline." The recipient was Daniel del Solar, a media activist in the San Francisco Bay Area. ISBN: 281AIB1016683.

A bit of soiling to the verso (back) of the card, thus very good. With another, similar card, not signed, depicting another Onslow Ford painting. [JSP04]
