Mexico: L. Alvarez y Alvarez de la Cadena [Editorial Layac], 1943-1944. Three volumes. 169, 348, 255 pages, plus six folding maps (2 in vol. 2 and 4 in volume 3). A reprint of the 1757 original, newly typeset with decorative chapter headings. Volume 3 includes texts by Andres Marcos Burriel, Sebastian Vizcaino, and Ferdinand Konsag, as did the original. An attractive and scarce reprint of a hard-to-obtain Zamorano 80 title (no. 78), published during the Second World War, with maps not included in the original. The book mostly relates to Baja California. ISBN: 281AIB1030883.
Spotting to spine of volume two; one map with a tear in the margin, repaired on the verso (back) with tape. A nice set, seldom encountered. [JSP01]
