    Mexico: L. Alvarez y Alvarez de la Cadena [Editorial Layac], 1943-1944. Three volumes. 169, 348, 255 pages, plus six folding maps (2 in vol. 2 and 4 in volume 3). A reprint of the 1757 original, newly typeset with decorative chapter headings. Volume 3 includes texts by Andres Marcos Burriel, Sebastian Vizcaino, and Ferdinand Konsag, as did the original. An attractive and scarce reprint of a hard-to-obtain Zamorano 80 title (no. 78), published during the Second World War, with maps not included in the original. The book mostly relates to Baja California. ISBN: 281AIB1030883.

The book consists of essays on an plates by Augustin Lazo, Carlos Merida, Rufino Tamayo, Julio Castellanos, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Diego Rivera, and Jose Clemente Orozco. This book was reissued in 2003 and in a bilingual Spanish-English edition in 2004. ISBN: B00ZE4ZQWY.

    First edition (first printing). A good copy in wrappers (paper covers) with some stains on the front cover. This copy is inscribed, "Fernando Charry Lara, gran poeta y gran amigo, mi nube - espacio: pintura - y mi reloj - tiemp: poesia - con cielo y tiempo de America. L. Cardoza y Aragon. Bogota, enero 1947." A nice inscription to the Colombian poet, who has underlined many passages and marked others in the margins. A nice association copy and an interesting example of marginalia.
