An early printed edition of this work, issued on blue-print paper, reproducing Sessions' handwritten score (the commercially published edition appeared in 1947). Sessions was an important New York 12-tone composer who won the Pulitzer Prize for music. ISBN: 281AIB1035642.

Inscribed by Sessions in 1944 to Albert Elkus, who brought the composer to UC Berkeley, where Sessions taught for many years. A scarce book, with no copies of this 1942 edition on OCLC.
