  • Home Ranch by James, Will
    James, Will
    Home Ranch

    First Edition

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1935. xi, 346 pages. Illustrated by the author. "The story tells of life, struggles and pleasures from the time the ranch was started in 1880 up till today in 1935"--from the promotional bookmark issue for this title. ISBN: 281AIB1040508.

First edition (first printing with publisher's seal and A on the copyright page). Previous owner's name, else a near fine copy in a very good or better dust jacket with light wear to the edges. With the promotional bookmark that accompanied at least some copies with a short introduction to the book on one side and a list of Will James' books on the other, reproduced from James' handwritten copy. Arguably, this is a separate Will James publication, however slight and ephemeral, and undoubtedly missing from many James collections. [JSP01]
