  • De sangre chicana [one-sheet poster]

[Mexico City]: Cinematografia Roma, [1974]. A Mexican one-sheet poster, 27 by 37 inches, for a Mexican wrestling (lucha libre) movie. The tag line reads Entre dos fronteras; entre dos idiomas; entre dos formas de vida, which translates to Between two borders; between two languages; between two ways of life. The central image is of the mask of the wrestler Huracan Ramirez, surrounded by five other stars of the film, including Pepe Romay, Susana Cabrera, Jose Chavez Trowe, and others. The exact plot of the film is somewhat obsure, but it apparently had something to do with ethnic pride combined with an anti-drug message. ISBN: 281AIB1015972.
